Amma Nanna O Tamil Ammayi (ANOTA)Review by HarshaPuri Jagannath's yet another movie with RaviTeja is the same old story of ignored wife and son, and son who makes his father realize their worth. RaviTeja plays a kickboxer, who undergoes DOJO training. His father, who is also a DOJO coach leaves him and his mother jayasudha during his childhood. Naturally, Ravieteja develops hatred against his father and at the sametime is very much affectionate towards his mother. Enters heroine Aasin, who looks perfectly as a tamil girl. After a couple of songs, jayasudha too meets aasin and likes her. Raviteja is now forced by his mother to live with his father and his second family. Half-heartedly he agrees, but he recieves ill-treatment at his father's place. He realizes that one of his father's students is after his step-sister and warns him, but he it bounces back on him. Enters aasin again for one more song. Prakashraj is ditched by his student before a competition, and Raviteja enters into the picture and takes over the academy. He also teaches the cheater, a lesson and unites everyone. Performances of raviteja, jayasudha, prakashraj are as usual, and are the only saving graces for this movie. Aasin is a surprise find in this movie, but she is never involved directly in the story. One would wonder why puri had chosen that title! Chakri's score is dissappointing, especially after few good scores last year. Puri Jagannath misses out this time on story, but good performances, and good dialogues might save this movie. Overall, an average fair from puri-raviteja-chakri team. |
