Anveshana

Review by Deepthi

An attempted suspense thriller by veteran director Sagar, ultimately proved a misfire.
This movie started few years back when ravi teja was still a stuggling side-actor.
Sensing his new found stardom after 3 hits since 2001, director made futile attempts to induce useless scenes trying to promote his image.
Coming to the story, hero's brother prabhakar arrives in a forest, for research on birds and is killed mysteriously(does it sound like vamsy's anveshana??).
His brother vamsee(ravi teja) and bhavana(radhika varma) are in love. They get married but are always prevented from their first night.
(we're given an explanation by her mother about defects in her horoscope)
vamsee recieves 2 letters on his deceased brother's name and confirms that he was murdered.

He arrives at the same place where his brother came, but their jeep driver, their cook(bijili) and her father are too murdered.
Vamsee realizes that there is a guy called jangayya, who practises black magic and he is behind all these murders.
Jangayya does this because, his daughter jabili loved prabhakar, but his friends rape her and she commits suicide.
Now, jangayya wants to induce his daughter's spirit into another woman who was born in same star as her,and that is none other than bhavana!
How, vamsee prevents jangayya from this is the climax of this pathetic movie.
Ravi teja left with no scope for acting, radhika varma looks ok, but director doesn't seem to bother about the characterization of anyone else.
Except background score, and couple of songs, nothing is exciting.
